A Small Moment

July 18, 2011 by Miranda Leave a Comment

Last week I got an email from Nichole at In These Small Moments (seriously? how good is that About Me page, people??) asking me to guest post in her Small Moment Mondays series.

I was giddy.

I did not know that Nichole reads this blog! So to find out that she reads AND wanted to have me over for tea and guest posts! Hooray!

And then I got stuck because Friday night and Saturday were all…ugh.

(Yes, I received her email early last week. Yes, I waited until the last minute to write the post. I had a word-blockage. See also: procrastinator.)

Short on time? Save this post for later.

No more lost tabs, random screenshots, or digging through your browser history. Save this post and do future-you a favor.

(It's like a bookmark, but...not.)

So Saturday, after all the hullabaloo and bad mothering, I sat down to write and I looked at the purpose of Nichole’s blog:

to appreciate the wonder, beauty, and whimsy in the small moments, the moments that, when strung together, form a lifetime.

And that’s what I did, and in doing so, I recovered my perspective on my terrible, horrible day.

So thank you, Nichole, for having me over, but also for helping me see the small things.

And thank YOU, people reading right now, for going over to In These Small Moments to read my small moment.

I couldn’t comment at work on Nichole’s blog. But wanted to let you know that that post & you are beautiful! Glad you were able to look back & find little moments of good in that rough day.

Read it last night and it was a wonderful reminder. Try to find even a little joy on the hard days.
