Please pass the tissues. And the hot tea. And the soup.

Have you missed me??  You have?  I’m blushing.
I have a cold.  It is 97 degrees outside and I have a cold.  That’s where I’ve been this weekend.  Trying not to infect the internet with my cold.
Friday I took a personal day to get my hair done.  My bestie Joie is in hair design school and she tested from her Junior to Senior level on Friday.  I’m happy to report that my hair looks amazing and she is now a Senior and only nine weeks away from graduating and having an awesome career making other people look awesome.  I would show you a picture but there’s something wrong with the card reader AND USB drives on my laptop and Dan says I need something called a PCDILMNOP card (or something like that) to have the ability to upload photos again.
(Do y’all remember how inept I am when it comes to deciphering my husband’s technical jargon?  No?  Allow me to remind you. Wii.)
Anyway, there are no pictures. But it looks awesome.  And soon enough there WILL be pictures because I’ve finally convinced Dan to let us get some more family pictures taken.  Since we’ve only had pictures of Joshua taken THREE TIMES in his whole life.  Yes. Three.  I’m a Mama Fail when it comes to pro pics. And now that my card reader is broken, I’m a Mama Fail at non pro pics, too.  Awesome.  Anyway.

We were supposed to have pictures made yesterday, but the photographer called me and said that he’d been bitten by a spider and he was at Urgent Care and his arm was out of commission.  Interestingly enough, when he called his wife to ask her to Facebook me and tell me what was going on with the pictures and the need to reschedule, he didn’t even tell her what was going on with his arm. So I knew before she did that he’d been bitten by a spider. I think.

(I am friends with his wife, thus, the Facebook communications.)
We were going to reschedule for today, but I woke up on Saturday with the most awful sinus pain and drainage ever. And it just got worse as the day went on. And then it got even worse. And when I woke up this morning, I wanted to cry because of how bad my head hurt.
Dan was kind enough to let me sleep in until 9:00 and then I got up and laid around on the couch until Joshua’s nap.  At which point I planted myself firmly back in the bed and had bizarre dreams about people talking about how dirty my house is and how they’d never step foot inside it.
(Let me tell you, I woke up feeling NOT AWESOME about myself after that…)
But, I showered and felt a little better so we went to a burrito joint and the grocery store and now I’m back to feeling awful again.
WAAAAH.  I hope this is gone by tomorrow.
Y’all just cross your fingers that Joshua doesn’t catch this mess, okay?  Please?  I’ll be forever in your debt.
