When I wrote about being all stopped up on Thursday, Jennifer said that reading blogs, for her, has always been like having a conversation with a friend. I miss that. That’s what it always was for me too. I came here and said what I was thinking and people responded and then I responded and it was nice.
Friends were here.
Then things happened on my side of the computer and conversations were had and people were hurt and I got a little scared to have those public conversations anymore. I didn’t mean to stop writing here, but I did suddenly find myself second guessing everything.
But the truth is that I’ve missed this space. It’s sitting here, empty and sad. It’s time to do something about that.
Save This Post for Later
Since I’m wading back into the blogging waters, I thought we might start by playing a game, just to make things easier for me everybody.
I’m going to ask five questions. Pick one and answer it below. This week I’ll come back and answer them myself.
See? We’ll have a CONVERSATION.
- What’s on your Christmas list?
- What’s your favorite holiday?
- Where would you go on your dream vacation?
- Shaken or stirred?
- What are your thoughts on black licorice?
Yay! Let’s have fun!
Hey Miranda. Love this post/game. I need to loop back and read the previous post. Catching up on my blogs;).
1). Hotel gift cards for next summer’s road trip.
2). Mother’s Day – no work for me!
3) Italy
4). Shaken
5). Love it.
I have a dream of going to Italy one day. And shaken is totally the way to go. Make mine a Lemon Drop.
Ugh, I absolutely do not like black licorice. I want a new TV stand or something besides a random end table to sit it on. Not necessarily for Christmas, but will take it if I can find one that isn’t too expensive. One more, July 4th. Warm, beach, fireworks. Need I say more? Glad you are back!
Booo! Licorice is the best! We found our TV stand at Sams and it looks like something from Pottery Barn for a fraction of the cost.
I’m a lover of black licorice. And red licorice! The black jelly beans that show up at Easter are wonderful. And don’t even let me get close to an open bag of Twizzlers. Yum.
Well, I knew I liked you. I once got a mixed bag of Jelly Belly jelly beans that was practically made for me. A ton of black licorice and cinnamon!
Patio furniture!!!! 🙂
Good choice!
Favorite holiday is Thanksgiving . . . family, food, wine, laziness, all with none of the commercialism of Christmas.
Thanksgiving, man. I’m so looking forward to next week’s Turkey Coma.
I have absolutely nothing on my Christmas list this year. There’s really nothing I want or need. Earlier in the year I said I wanted to go on a trip just the two of us but now we’re headed to Jamaica for his brother’s wedding so that covers that wish.
A trip! Ahhhh. We have two nights in a Marriott as part of a rebate and I really want to go to New Orleans.
4….stirred lately because Cherry vodka and coke just doesn’t shake well…but a good cosmo is always on the menu too.
Love reading!
Amie
I can comment but can’t read any of the comments. Is it me and my computer or do you have any idea:)
