We have a bit of a problem over here. That problem? The massive piles of crap kid stuff that find their way into the floorboard of my car. See?
True confession: I removed FOUR sippy cups of water and three empty snack cups before I snapped this photo. Thanks, Emma. Now I know where all the sippy cups were.
The back seat of my car is like a game of I Spy! Or Make Me Insane!
Joshua gets to take one stuffed animal to school every day for nap time. He wants to take a different stuffed animal every day. Somehow, none of the animals in the rotation end up making it out of the car.
The crap-in-the-floorboard issue is a problem which has plagued me since he started bringing things home from school.
No matter what I’ve tried, I’ve been unable to contain the crazy. So then my friend Jessica, who sells Thirty-One, asked if I wanted to do a review of an Organizing Utility Tote.
Well, okay. Let’s do this.
I chose the Organizing Utility Tote in Plum Awesome Blossom, one of Thirty-One’s newest colors from the Fall 2013 catalog (which I got an advanced peek at when Jessica was here for their conference).
Pretty, right? Almost too pretty to put it where I put it.
The tote and I ventured out to the garage to tackle the chaos overwhelming my back seat. Absolutely everything in the back seat of my car fit into this bag.
My kids are blanket kids. There’s always at least one blanket floating around in the car. Also, kids are sticky, ergo the wipes. Hi, Silver Surfer.
Assemble the minions!
That Slumber Buddy? BEST. Luigi and Yoshi and the frog are heavy in the preschool naptime rotation. Not pictured: Jeffney, a tiger, named by Joshua. He was actually in his rightful place inside Joshua’s school bag.
Everything that used to live in the floorboard now lives between the seats. This means no more frantic flailing about trying to locate whatever it is a child might be requesting while also, you know, trying to drive. Now they can help themselves and at the end of the ride, I can just throw everything back into the bag.
(Except for that whole broken arm being on Joshua’s bag-side…)
I finally feel like maybe there’s a chance this chaos can stay, eh, non-chaotic. Maybe. I’m hopeful.
But wait! There’s more!
What’s a review without a giveaway, right?
