There’s an After Flat for that

Y’all, I hate to say this, but the Shoenicorn and Shoenicorn’s cousin are kind for the first 8 or so hours of wear. Then they become evil Satan pumpkins who press into the tops of swollen feet everywhere. I’ve been wearing one pair or the other every day for about a week now. And I have a blister. On top of my foot. ::sadface::

But? Never fear.

Before heading out for the wild, blue BlogHer, my roomies and I read about how there’s a ton of walking involved with the conference. We may have even printed out several copies of maps and walking directions to all of the parties we planned to attend. When we saw that in one night alone we’d walk over 3 miles, we hooked up with After Flats to share the shoe-love with each other and our friends.

What, exactly, are After Flats?

In a word, they are awesome.

Seriously.

After Flats are foldable flats for on-the-go shoe changes.

You’ve been partying all night in heels and your feet are too sore to walk home?  There’s an After Flat for that.

You had a major presentation at work that required your best (most uncomfortable) heels and now the presentation is over and you want more comfort? There’s an After Flat for that.

You went out shopping with the girls and wore the wrong shoes for mall-schlepping? There’s an After Flat for that.

You’ve been chasing a toddler around and trying to break in a new pair of shoes and suddenly your feet are aching? Yep. There’s an After Flat for that, too.

After Flats come in a little travel pouch the size of a wristlet. You can even use the wristlet to store your credit card and license or cash. Bonus? When you’re ready to change your shoes, the wristlet converts into a small tote big enough to carry your heels.

I put my After Flats to use the on Thursday night when I walked to the Social Soiree party at the New Children’s Museum. I put my heels in my tote and stopped outside the party to change my shoes before going in. When I left Social Soiree, I changed my shoes again and headed out to the Clever Girls’ party. Then? Yep, you guessed it. I changed into my After Flats upon leaving and wore them for the rest of the night when I met up with Nichole at the hotel.

And my feet said "aaaaahhhhh."

I used After Flats religiously for the rest of the weekend. I cannot begin to think about what would’ve happened if I’d tried to do all of that walking in my regular heels. I probably would’ve been a broken-down, hobbling mess.

After Flats has been awesome to work with. In addition to providing shoes for my roomies and me, they gave us several pair to distribute at the conference. While I can’t speak for everyone who received a pair of After Flats, the overwhelming response I got was “OH MY GOD THESE ARE HEAVEN AND MY FEET ARE SAVED!!!”

Yes. That enthusiastic.

I need more of these in my life so I have a pair to go with every outfit! Or in every bag!

People, you need a pair of these in your life. I promise.

Thank you, After Flats, for saving my feet.

FTC stuff: After Flats provided my roommates and me with our own shoes and shoes for our friends attending BlogHer. They did not provide me with my opinions. Or money to pay off my student loans. But if you’re listening, After Flats, and you WANT to pay off my student loans? I will let you. And I will continue to talk about your shoes because that’s how much I loved them.

What an absolutely brilliant idea! I could SO use a pair, or two, or three of those!

I also love that yours are pretty! Pretty back up flats sound like a little piece of heaven, and I may need a pair of those!

Oh! I got some of these (different brand) at a little shop in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. I thought my feet just might have fallen off if I hadn't saved them with these lovely flats. I swear by them! And the pouch mine came with is cute enough to wear as a wristlet. Only thing is that the ones I bought didn't convert to a bag to hold my shoes. That is an excellent bonus!

They WERE heaven and they DID save my feet. I actually wore them intentionally instead of shoes on Saturday. So they should be called Before, During AND After Flats :)
