First of all…

Nicci totally cheated.  Because she only had to answer four questions and I have to answer six.

Second of all, I’m really glad she included me in this game because when I forgot what it was I was going to blog about tonight I had this to fall back on.  Score!  (Thanks, Nicci!)

Nicci, who is also a boy mom, tagged me in a little blogging game, and it’s a fun game, so I’m playing along.  And then I’ll tag some people and ask some questions and they’ll play along and before you know it the entire universe will have played the game.  Isn’t that just awesome?

(Okay, so if not the entire universe, at least a small segment of the universe.  Pay it Forward, people.  Pay it forward.)

Here goes:

1. If you could learn an awesome new skill and have unlimited funds to utilize it, what would new skill would you want and how would you use it?

I would learn to be multilingual beyond just my ability to say “We’re here for the beer” and “Where’s the bathroom?” in Spanish.  (Though I suppose that if you knew only TWO phrases in Spanish, those are at least handily intertwined.)  And I would travel the world learning and honing and perfecting my use of other languages.  It would be very Eat, Pray, Love of me, minus the nasty divorce, and probably the book deal.

2. If you could go back to your childhood, what cartoon or t.v. show would you pick to be your all-time favorite?

This is a no-brainer for me. Saved by the Bell, y’all.  Who in her right mind would pick anything else?  I mean, didn’t we ALL want to be Kelly or Jessi or Lisa, or an awesome combination of the three?  Didn’t we all covet Zach’s phone and ability to freeze time and speak directly to the camera?  Yes.  Yes we did.

3. Favorite song of all time and why?

Ha!  Uh…ummm…how do you pick this?  Do I go cheesy and say the song Dan and I danced to at our wedding?  (“At Last” by Etta James, and obvs because it’s the song we danced to. And lovely.)  Or do I go with “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley because it is almost the ONLY song that will soothe Joshua when he’s all sorts of angry?  I mean, there’s a benefit to that one for sure.  Or what about “Be Thou My Vision” by Ginny Owens because it’s beautiful? Or “Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley or Rufus Wainwright or that Tim kid from American Idol last season?  (HAVE YOU HEARD THAT SONG?! GO LISTEN. STAT.)

Can I just say I love music and plea the fifth on this one?

4.  Whats your favorite way to wake up and whats the first thing you do?

HAHAHAHAHA.  I do not have a favorite way to wake up. Unless “fully rested” and not to a screaming child is an option.  And the first thing I do?  Roll over and try to go back to sleep.  I mean, we did see my post from yesterday, right?  Hahahahaha.

5. If you could have any animal/creature, what would be your ultimate pet be?

Our Annie Girl

I mean, look at her.  How do you not look at her and go “She is the most awesome animal EVAR”?  The one thing I’d change?  She wouldn’t RUN AWAY whenever we let her off the leash outside.  She would go pee and then come right back to heel.  She’s not very good with the heel.  She’s far too inquisitive.  That’s her flaw.  And she licks herself incessantly in the middle of the night.  But she’s a good snuggler and SHE DOESN’T SHED.  I’ll keep her.

6. Pretend reincarnation is real, and everybody had a past life. What famous person do you think you could have been in a past life?

This one stumps me. I have no idea. At all.  I mean, I’d like to say I was a classy lady.  Someone with morals and beliefs to which she stuck no matter what.  I’d also like to say she was beautiful.  But really, I have no clue.  Audrey Hepburn seems cliche’.  Joan of Arc was burned to death.  Which doesn’t sound like fun to me.  Queen Elizabeth was never a mom.  Emily Dickinson was probably agoraphobic.  Amelia Earhart was brave, but, uh, where is she?  Eleanor Roosevelt? Not beautiful.

Whomever it was, she would’ve been strong. I can’t imagine that in a past life I would’ve been weak.

Soooo, now that I’ve answered the questions, I’m going to ask some more and then I’ll tag and tell and then those people will tag and tell and, well, you get the picture, right?

I’m tagging:

Katie
Kimberly
and
Sulfa

Your questions:
1. What decade during the last century would you have chosen to be a teenager? Why?
2. What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
3. What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done?
4. Until what age would you like to live and why?

Go forth and answer!
