Buy Cute Jammies. Help Moms.

February 20, 2013 by Miranda Leave a Comment

An estimated 10 to 20% of all mothers will experience a postpartum mood disorder, and that statistic only accounts for situations where mothers seek help. Many, many more mothers will never reach out for help, out of fear, or a lack of available resources, or maybe both.

Jammies by Hélène Laure are here to help.

Postpartum Progress is a non-profit near to my heart. The work that Katherine Stone does helps moms and clinicians fight back against perinatal mood disorders. If it weren’t for the work of such warriors, I can’t say that I would be where I am today.

But the work that Katherine does comes at a cost. A cost which Helene Laure, creator of Jammies, wants to help offset with her unique and adorable infant apparel

Jammies are the first product created specifically to help fight the battle against postpartum depression. For every pair of Jammies purchased, 10% of the profit will be donated to Postpartum Progress to help in the battle against PPD.

This means more training for clinicians. More Plain Mama English pamphlets to help moms and doctors diagnose PPD.

It means better outcomes for moms and babies.

If Jammies were available in Emma’s size right now, I would’ve snapped a pair up already. They’re adorable. As soon as they’re ready, she’ll have her first pair of Jammies. And I’ll be helping to give back to those who have helped me.
