Busy day=uneventful night??

May 17, 2009 by Miranda Leave a Comment

Joshua had a really busy day yesterday, after sleeping for six hours the night before. He and Dan got up and went to visit Grandbob and run some errands. They were gone for about six hours. Joshua apparently slept for most of that time (except for when he was hungry, and then I think Dan is underplaying how ridiculously upset Joshua might have been to make me feel better) and was a great baby for his Daddy. Woot!

Then, they got home and I fed him and he napped a little bit. Joshua and I went to Target and a couple of other stores while it was pretty out. Joshua didn’t really like rolling around in his stroller, but by the time I put him back in the car, he fell asleep. Again.

When we got home, Dan’s friend Trey came over and we all went to dinner and a car show. Joshua fell asleep in the restaurant.

After we did bath time last night, Joshua was asleep before he even finished his night time bottle, so Dan and I watched some TV and crawled into bed around 11:00.

I didn’t hear a THING from Joshua until 7:00 this morning, and I’m not even sure that I woke up because I heard him or if some Mommy-alert went off that told me I hadn’t heard him in a while and maybe I should check on him.

Y’all…that’s EIGHT FREAKING HOURS STRAIGHT OF SLEEP! And he was HAPPY when he woke up and not Captain Crankypants.

We changed his diaper and he ate really well and dozed while eating. Then Dan got him and I went back to sleep (because somehow eight straight hours, which is more sleep than I’ve gotten in a single day in two months, just wasn’t enough). Dan brought Joshua into the bedroom at about 10:30 or 11:00 this morning and Joshua kept on sleeping until noon.

He’s back to sleep right now.

Wow!

I’m going to go do some laundry while I’ve got two free hands!
