I have at least 15 other things I’m planning to write about here. Finally. Some inspiration. But there’s time for that later.
Sometimes, things just come fist-pumping into my life and I have to share it with the Universe.
(That’s y’all, in case you were wondering.)
Allow me to tell you a little story first.
My child is incredibly, ridiculously attached to his daycare teacher. (It’s pre-preschool, but that’s just wordy. So? Daycare.) She had him last year and this year, when they needed to split the class (in part because he and other students were so attached to Ms. Cindy) she rolled up with them. Every morning on the way to school, Joshua says “I go see Ms. Cindy!!!” at least twice.
Ms. Cindy is awesome. Totally awesome. She is high energy and hands-on and a great teacher. The children love her and the things Joshua knows because of her amaze me every day.
And what’s even more is I know she loves my son nearly as much as she loves her own.

So that’s the back story.
The ACTUAL story is that they’ve started saying attempting to say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning in Joshua’s class as part of their daily activities.
And Ms. Cindy is very high energy. Did I say that already? Because it bears repeating so you understand the point I’m making. Even with a pot and a half of coffee I would not have as much energy as Ms. Cindy has. Which is why she teaches toddlers and I do not.
This sometimes means that she has as much trouble holding still as the kids do. So now the children all end the Pledge in a very…uhh…unorthodox? manner.
Without further ado, I present to you Joshua me saying the Pledge of Allegiance and Joshua refusing to participate. Until the very end. Which is what you must, must see.
Power to the people, y’all.
Ha! Mommy had a teacher when she was in 3rd grade who always ended the Star Spangled Banner with “Play Ball!”

The “no” cracks me up! Because then he’s all “POWER TO THE PEOPLE!”
Ha! TOO CUTE. It’s so funny how kids pick up on things and make it gospel.
I’m just waiting for him to go to kindergarten and be the only one in his class to do this. 🙁
I’m sure I will have taught him something else by then! No worries!
