Happy Father’s Day, Dan!

Do you remember this day?  This is the day you became a DAD.  This is the day that your life (and mine) changed in the best way possible.  This is the day that we discovered that the best product of our love for each other was a sweet little baby boy (who screamed and cried and screamed and cried and didn’t sleep).

Today, I don’t have a fancy gift, I don’t have any plans, I don’t even know if I’ll feel like cooking (but I will if you want me to because it’s your day, after all), but today, we’re celebrating YOU and the wonderful father you are.

Because you are a WONDERFUL father.  Joshua is lucky to have you. He’s lucky to have a father who reads to him and plays with him and wants to show him things about the world.

You work hard for your family, and we love you for it.

You do your best to make sure we have what we need.

You help keep me sane.  (And sometimes drive me crazy!)

You love your son, and you SHOW him that love.  And he will grow up a better man for having that love in his life. 

I can’t imagine a better father for my child.

I’m thankful I’m on this journey with you.

And Joshua says “thanks” too.  Or he would if, you know, he knew how to say that word.  Instead he says “Aaa daaaa”
