Aside from the fact that I haven’t showered in over 48 hours (yes, I realize how disgusting that is…moms-to-be take note…daily showers aren’t guaranteed after you give birth…) I think I have my normal baby boy back. Thank all that is holy!
He had a particularly rough Monday with Daddy because they went to visit Dan’s parents and he was in the car for a good portion of the day. Then, my mom stayed with him and by Wednesday, I think he was just really out of sorts with his naps. Yesterday was a nightmare. Today is better.
I think he’s feeling better and is better rested today. I am so thankful for that. He’s my normal happy, smiley boy again. Yes, he gets fussy when he’s tired. No, he won’t let me put him down when he naps. However, he is napping, and that’s something to be thankful for. Joshua with no nap is like me with, well, no nap. (Anyone who knows me knows that even at 27 years old I still function best on 10 hours of sleep a night. I won’t get that again for another, oh, 18 years…)
We’re almost at the end of our hour of wakefulness, so it’s almost time to put him back to sleep again. Hopefully, I can put him down long enough to grab a quick shower, but that might be asking for too much.
