State of the Weight Wednesday: False Start

Sharing is caring!

Okay, it’s Wednesday. Right? I’m at Joshua’s swimming lessons, so yes, it must be Wednesday.

Let’s do this SOTWW thing.

Last week was pretty much a false start for me. I had high hopes of stepping on the scale this morning to find out I had busted my 32 for 31 goal right out of the water but no. Still 191.

Which is actually pretty fantastic all things considered.

Last Wednesday marked the return to work and my god am I spinning while I figure this out.

(Promise, more on that is coming for the 5 of you who are interested and/or don’t already know and/or just want more details.)

I had plans to go to the gym five times between last Wednesday and today and then just couldn’t. I hesitate to say I’ve been “busy” because I know how hackneyed that word has become, but this going back to work and managing two kids and the house has felt very much like busy to me.

I couldn’t muster up the energy to make dinner and instead fed the children peanut butter sandwiches and Cheez-its for dinner Friday night. Sure, 30 minutes is 30 minutes and every little bit helps, but last week I just…didn’t want to go.

Or rather, I wanted to go. But I wanted to rest whenever I could more. So I did.

And the rest was fleeting and not enough but we’re alive.

I mentioned it to my therapist yesterday and she thinks the tired is normal but we’re watching it to make sure it isn’t something more. I think it’s just an adjustment. I’ll figure it out.

So. This week.

Water. Three meals a day. Those are still the goals. (I still don’t have an appetite. I mentioned that to her too and it’s not a side effect of my medication so we really don’t know what it is.)

We’ll see where I am next week.

How did your week go?

The Many Thoughts of a Reader

Thursday 16th of January 2014

I was working out well when not working but the minute I went back to work the tired came back. It's just a lot to do and sitting and reading/catching up with my peeps on the internet is a lot more appealing than sweating. Sad but true.
